Beach Truck Sunset Embroidery Design, Instant Download

I drew this one back in june when summer was kicking in proper hard. Vintage dusty teal pickup truck parked sideways with a cream surfboard sticking up out the bed, two tall palms behind it, and a giant peach sun setting low. Two lil seagulls drifting in the upper right. Im running directional stitching across the truck panels so the body has actual shape and depth instead of looking flat. honestly the sun is what makes the whole thing work, those soft horizontal stripes of buttery yellow fading into peach.

The palm silhouettes use solid black satin fills with the fronds digitised in a way that gives em that proper cutout look against the sun. Surfboard sits cream white, plain, just a clean satin fill. Truck cab uses dusty teal with darker shading underneath the fender wells. Total of 8 colours, which sounds like alot but most em are just shade variations on the teal and the peach.

I made this one with summer apparel in mind. Tank tops, beach totes, lightweight tees in white or cream. Pop it on the front pocket of a denim shirt and youre gonna get that proper coastal vibe. A customer last week stitched the 5x7 size onto a canvas tote for her surf shop and posted the result, looked great. The 4th july weekend crowd has been ordering this one alot for cookout shirts too.

Stitch counts run from 30k on the chest piece up to 70k on the largest 8.5 inch version, so the bigger sizes need a solid cutaway stabiliser. Skip flimsy tearaways here, theres dense palm silhouettes that'll pucker the fabric. Hooped fleece or sweatshirt jersey works fine, just hoop it tight. Avoid super dark fabrics for the small sizes, the cream and yellow threads need a lighter base so they dont vanish. White or oatmeal cotton is yer best bet.
