The bear is in the centre of the scene and the evergreens frame around em like a national park postcard. Its a landscape format so it sits wide and low, running from 4.5 inches 7.5 piece across. Only 3 colours but the layering makes it look way more complex than that, and the bear in the foreground reads dark and heavy against the lighter silhouettes behind. Thats what gives it that classic woodblock print energy.

Density sits at 1,406 which is very high for a 3 colour design, so the fills are dense and the finished piece looks printed from a distance. The tree layers use tatami fill in different directions on each level, thats what creates that depth illusion. The bear itself gets the most stitch work, solid satin fills with directional changes across the body to suggest fur texture.

Four sizes from 4.5 inches wide full 7.5, stitch count goes from 26,748 to 46,810. People have been buying this one for camping brand merchandise and outdoor clothing all year. I get loads of orders for it on olive canvas, charcoal denim and forest green cotton and honestly cant think of a fabric that doesnt work. Last february a bunch of outdoor gear folks were ordering it for custom patches for a hiking group and they loved how it looked on olive twill.

Use cutaway stabiliser on this because the density at that stitch count needs proper backing. Stitch on flat woven fabrics like canvas, twill, denim or flannel. Skip any textured or pile fabric because the landscape silhouette relies on clean edges to read well. Iron everything flat before hooping and slow your machine speed down on the densest sections.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Camping gear patches and bagsOn a canvas patch or gear bag this reads like a proper wilderness brand logo at a decent size.
  • Outdoor adventure tote bagsOn a waxed canvas tote the dark bear and pine scene sits beautifully against the natural material texture.
  • Hiking club group shirtsOn a cotton t-shirt for a hiking or outdoor group this makes a clean team design that doesnt look generic.
  • Wilderness themed jacket backsOn the back panel of a canvas or denim jacket this landscape format fills the space perfectly in a bold natural design.
  • National park souvenir patchesAs a sewn patch on a camping hat or backpack strap this is the kind of outdoor souvenir patch people actually want.
  • Mens flannel shirt chest designOn a flannel shirt chest pocket area the bear and forest colour palette suits the material and the lifestyle perfectly.
  • Cabin decor throw pillowsOn a neutral throw pillow in a cabin or lodge-style room this adds a strong outdoorsy element to the decor.
  • Forest nursery wall hoopsHooped and hung in a forest-themed nursery this makes a sweet piece of wall art for an adventure-themed kids room.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
