Three little kittens sitting in a row with small hearts tucked between each of them. Its a simple composition but its genuinely sweet, the kind of design that doesnt try too hard and works because of it. Each kitten has its own slight personality in the pose, one sitting straight, one turned slightly, one with a tilted head. The hearts between them are small and tidy, not oversized and sentimental. I like that the design doesnt overdo it. Its cute without being cloying.
Available in multiple sizes. The stitch count is light to moderate, the kittens are outlined with simple fill areas rather than dense satin, which keeps the stitching time reasonable. Tearaway stabiliser works well on cotton and canvas fabrics. For stretch fabric items like kids tees, go with cutaway to hold the design shape after repeated washing and wear.
This one gets made into gifts a lot, best friend sets, cat-lover presents, kids birthday pouches. I had a customer make matching tote bags for her two daughters with this design and they were suprised how professional the stitchout looked on a regular home machine. Works really well on pastel fabrics too, soft pink or lavender really sets off the cat outlines. Excellent on a zip gift pouch loaded with treats as a cat-themed birthday present.
