Heres the Birthday Girl lettering and its got two completely different lettering styles stacked together. Up top, Birthday is done in a bouncy purple script. Tall flowing capital B with that big curl, lowercase letters underneath with confident loops on the y. Down below, Girl reads in a chunky pink rounded block, all caps, slightly tilted G and a candle slotted in where the I should be.
The candle is a teal and pink striped column with a peach pink flame on top, so the lettering actually celebrates instead of just announcing. Around the type sits 8 mustard and pink sparkle bursts, little 6-pointed stars at varying sizes. Theres also two pink confetti dots floating up near the script. The whole layout fits in a clean rectangle so its easy to centre on a tee or cushion.
I made this for kid birthday tees and party photoshoot props but my customers keep buying it for birthday banners aswell. Last March one mum ordered the 6.5 inch version for her daughters 7th birthday photoshoot, sewed it onto a white cropped tee, and posted the snaps. We got 12 reorders that same week from her followers.
Pop this on white, cream, soft pink or sage cotton for the cleanest read. The purple script needs a light background to sing. Skip patterned bases since the lettering and sparkles are doing alot already. Skip dark fabric, the teal candle stripes muddy out badly on navy or black.
Stitch count runs 12k on the biggest 6.51 inch size, 5k on the smallest 2.51 inch. Apply firm cutaway cotton knit tees, tear-away works on woven canvas or denim totes. Hoop tight, the candle stripes need clean hooping or the colours bleed. Slow the machine for the script B curl, its where most jumps occur.
