Up top theres a five-pointed crown and its not a simple fill shape. The main body uses a black lattice or crosshatch stitch pattern that makes it look almost like ironwork, with a pink band along the curved base and white round balls on each of the five points. Its quite detailed for a crown this size and it reads well even at the 3.5-inch wide small size because the lattice stitching is open enough that it doesnt turn into a blob.
Below the crown, BIRTHDAY runs in small white block capitals, then Princess sweeps across in a big red flowing script that takes up the bottom third of the whole design. The script has nice thick and thin contrast in the letter strokes, the downstrokes are heavy and the upstrokes thin, which is what gives it that classic calligraphy feel without actually using calligraphy tools. Four colours: pink, white, black, red. Nine sizes from 3.24 inches up to 6.92 inches wide.
Its alot of trims, 123 at the smallest size going up to about 159 at the big sizes, so the machine will be stopping and starting quite a bit. Thats normal for a design with this much detail at these sizes. Use medium cutaway on fleece or knit backing for anything thats gonna get washed repeatedly. Tear-away works on crisp wovens like quilting cotton or poplin. Add topping on any fluffy fabric or the black lattice will sink and lose all its detail. Skip the topping on smooth cotton twill, you dont need it there.
I get a real surge of orders in the weeks before birthday party season. A customer last spring made it on a whole set of mini tote party favours for her daughters fifth birthday and said the parents at the party kept asking where she ordered the bags from. Usually a good sign.
What people are using this design for

- Iron-on patches for a birthday jacketStitch on a felt base and trim close for an iron-on patch that goes on a birthday jacket or denim vest

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
