Its 4 cats in a row and honestly that already tells you everything. Sitting cat, fat round cat, low crouching cat, long stretched out cat, all facing the same direction in solid black silhouette. I drew these with a lil gap between each feline so they dont bleed into each other on the fabric.
The fill is satin stitching with directional passes that give each cat some depth, its not just a flat patch of thread. You get 2 colour changes total, the dark satin body and a tiny green accent for the eyes. 9 sizes come in the file, smallest at 0.94 by 3.5 inches and largest at 2 by 7.5 inches, stitch count runs from 3,764 up to 10,253 depending on size. All digitised in embroidery software.
I get messages from people who put this on halloween tote bags, black cat themed kitchen towels, kids costumes, the usual stuff. But I sell just as many to people who simply love cats and want a row of em on a throw pillow or jacket. Theres no seasonal text, no pumpkins, so it works any time of year.
Stitch on light coloured fabric for best results. White cotton or cream linen are my favourite for silhouettes like this, the contrast makes the cats pop. Use a tearaway stabiliser for woven materials. Go with cutaway if youre stitching on stretch fabric like a jersey tee.
Pop the file in any of the 8 formats included and youre good to go. Any questions just message me and Ill fix the file.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Halloween tote bags and trick-or-treat bagsThe row format fits perfectly across a tote bag front without needing to resize much.
- Black cat themed kitchen towels and tea towelsLooks sharp on white flour sack towels, the black silhouettes really stand out against cream cotton.
- Kids Halloween costumes and onesiesParents use the smaller 0.94 inch size on baby onesie chest panels for halloween.
- Throw pillows for cat loversCat people buy this all year round, not just october, it goes on accent pillows and cushion covers.
- Denim jacket back panel or sleeve patchThe horizontal row layout works well across the back yoke of a denim jacket, centre-aligned.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
