Two colours. Three cats. 4,113 stitches. Thats this whole design in a sentence. I made it specifically for people who wanted something quick and graphic, the kind of thing you can stitch in under fifteen minutes and it still looks intentional. The density is 140, which is light, and that keeps the black areas from going stiff on softer fabrics like jersey or flannel. Black fill plus white whisker detail, these are the only two thread changes you make in the whole run.
Text me if the white markings are not showing up in your software, some formats display the colour layers in a different order and it can look like only one colour loaded. Its not missing, its just layered underneath in the preview. Scroll through the colour stops in your software and youll see both. I get notes about this now and then from people using Brother software specifically. The white lines for the whiskers and eye dots are very fine satin columns so use 40-weight thread, not the thicker 30-weight. Thicker thread blurs those tiny details. Use a sharp 75/11 needle for the whisker columns. Stitch at 75-80% speed for the fine detail pass.
At 3.51 inches wide and 1.30 inches tall, this sits perfectly along a pocket top, a shoe tongue, a sock cuff, or a small bag zipper pull tab. Stitch it across a black beanie for a halloween cat look or on a light grey tote for an everyday cat owner gift. Tearaway stabiliser works fine on most woven fabrics. If youre stitching onto a knit, like a stretchy t-shirt or a hat, use a cutaway stabiliser so the background fabric doesnt pull the black silhouettes out of shape after washing.
No frills, no fuss. Stitches out clean. One color change. Done. Text me a quick note if you want a single-cat or pair variant of this design and Ill prep the file.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
