Knocked out this basketball outline specifically because alot of customers want a clean blank ball they can pair with a name, number or team name rather than a design thats already got everything crammed in. Its the actual basketball shape, the two curved panel seams plus the horizontal equator line that cuts across the middle, all done in satin column outlines. No fill, no background, just the ball.
Comes in 6 sizes, smallest is roughly 3 inches tall and the largest gets up to 8 inches, so theres a size that works whether youre doing a small left chest logo or a full front kids shirt. Stitch count goes from around 4,086 up to 11,850 depending which size you hoop. One colour, 1 black thread, zero colour changes to worry about.
And honestly this is one of those designs I keep coming back to for custom sports orders. One customer ordered it for a whole set of team jerseys, she stitched the ball on the front and put each players number right underneath. Looked great on navy cotton twill. I get alot of requests like that, where people need the ball without any fuss attached.
Pop it on white or cream cotton for the crispest look, though navy, grey and black jerseys also work nicely if you switch to white thread. Back woven fabrics with tearaway, cutaway is better for any jersey fabric with stretch in it. The satin columns stay clean as long as you hoop tight and keep the stabiliser flush.
Best for team gear, sports bags, gym towels and kids room decor. Use the 3 inch size for bag tags and patches, grab the 7 inch version for front-and-centre shirt placement.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
