Built last september when I was doing a full boho bedroom collection for a customer. This is the larger, more detailed version of the dreamcatcher range: 10 colours, 5 sizes, widths 3.51 to 7.51 inches. Stitch count runs from 18901 to 43809, density is 936 per square inch. The web inside the hoop uses a programmed running-stitch pattern that crosses at specific points to mimic actual dreamcatcher weaving. Each feather carries barb stitching in 3 shades of grey-brown, which is what gives that realistic tapered look rather than a flat fill.

Cutaway stabiliser is the right choice here given the density, especially on any stretch or knit fabric. On linen or cotton canvas you can get away with tearaway if you want a clean back for display work. A bunch of ya probably want this for framed hoop art, and the 7-in jumbo on natural cotton muslin with cutaway gives the cleanest finish. Its the size I recommend for wall display. One customer ordered this design in last january for a set of boho nursery items and the colour combination looked gorgeous against a warm cream nursery wall she said.

Pick the 5 inch size for clothing items like a jacket back or a tote front, theres enough feather length at that scale to read clearly without taking over the whole piece. Stitch on undyed linen or natural cotton for that authentic boho colour palette, dont pick synthetic fabric or the earthy tones go a bit flat.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Linen throw pillow frontCentred on a linen throw pillow at 7 inches, cutaway stabiliser, pairs with neutral pillow backing.
  • Denim jacket back centreThe 5 inch design on denim jacket back, cutaway essential on stretch denim to hold the density.
  • Canvas tote bag statement piecethe chest 6-in on a canvas tote front, topping helps on woven canvas texture.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
