Suprised how well this stitches out. The dragon eye design is circular, basically a swirling disc of spiked teal blades. A solid black surround holds aqua scale shapes ripping outward in all directions, like the dragons own scales peeling back from the eye. Each blade gets dense satin fill in aqua with a darker teal underside for depth. Then right in the centre sits the eye itself.
The iris runs red into orange, almost like looking at fire through a lens. Dark red holds the very centre and hot orange flares out toward the edges. A sharp black vertical slit pupil cuts right through the middle. Six colours total with 5 colour changes. industry software put serious density work into those aqua satin columns, around 17k stitches at 3.3 inches and 42k on the full 7.06-inch size.
I made this for the fantasy and gaming merch crowd, Im not gonna pretend otherwise. People who play tabletop RPGs, who collect dragon figurines, who run dark-fantasy Etsy shops, thats who messages me about it. A customer who does fantasy artist alley prints at conventions last october ordered it for a denim jacket collection and said it was the bestselling piece at her table. Dm me if the file throws errors on load and Ill remap same day. Dead easy fix usually.
Run it on black or charcoal fabric exclusively. The teal pops hardest off a near-black ground and the red iris needs dark contrast to really glow. Avoid anything lighter than charcoal or you lose the whole mood. Use a firm cutaway stabiliser, those dense teal blade sections need solid backing or theyll pucker on anything less. Hoop tight on a 5x7 frame minimum.
