Its a heart but not the soft floaty kind. This one looks like somebody hurled a glossy red heart at a wall and it exploded outward into a wild splatter of red and pink. The heart itself sits dead-centre with a satin sheen baked right into the stitching, two white highlight arcs catching the light like a 3D glass ball. And then the splash rays shoot out in every direction, some long and reaching, some just little flicks at the tips. Real comic-book energy on valentines merch.
Colour count sits at 4, which is tight for how much punch it throws. The fills run satin with tight directional stitching inside the heart and looser radiating runs in the outer splash. my software digitised the highlight arcs using underlay density tricks so the white reads clean without breaking through the red. Black outlines everywhere, alot of them layered, which is what gives the whole thing that inked graphic poster look. But its the contrast between glossy centre and ragged splash edge that makes it work on fabric.
I get messages about this one every january and february. One customer who runs a small valentine merch shop ordered the 6.95-inch on black cotton tees and the crimson just owned the chest panel. She needed something with attitude, not the typical cute heart, and this was it. So if youre doing valentines stuff that isnt pink and precious this is the one to try.
Stitch it on black, charcoal or deep navy for maximum drama. White and cream work aswell but the splash background bleeds a lil softer on pale fabric. Avoid polyester-heavy blends on the biggest size aswell because 38,770 stitches needs a fabric that holds. Hoop with a firm cutaway stabiliser under any stretch, the outer rays have thin satin columns that pull if the ground moves. Holler if the file gives trouble and ill swap in a re-stitched version.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
