Its a clean, bold BOO in a rounded block font, tall and narrow, reads vertical when stitched out. Kinda makes it unusually flexible for halloween text because you can fit it into a hat brim band or a narrow sleeve panel where a wide horizontal design just wont go. The letters have a gentle wobble to the edges, like whoever painted them was going for that hand-done carnival sign look.

One colour, which means you load thread once and run the whole thing. The digitising uses proper satin stitch throughout with a split underlay to stabilise the fabric before the top stitching goes down. At maximum size its 7.51 inches tall by 2.88 wide, so its a genuinely tall block of text, and at the smallest its 3.51 inches by 1.35. The density is calibrated to avoid bleed-through on lighter fabrics if you use a topping, but its realise that on a dark orange or purple t-shirt you wont need any special prep beyond cutaway stabiliser. Fifteen thousand seven hundred ninety-two stitches at largest size.

I had a customer order this last October to stitch onto a set of Halloween throw pillow covers in black and orange. She sent me a message after saying the 2.88-inch version looked exactly right sized up on the pillow front. Stitch it in white on black for the classic look, or switch to orange thread on a natural linen for something warmer. Use cutaway stabiliser on knits and anything stretchy, tearaway works fine on woven cotton and canvas. Run the design, then gently pull the tearaway away from the stitching rather than ripping it.

Ping me a chat if any of the 8 formats wont open in your software and Ill get a replacement to you quickly. Send me a chat if the file misbehaves and Ill rework the punch.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Halloween t-shirts and sweatshirtsCentre it vertically on a t-shirt or sweatshirt chest; the narrow footprint keeps it from overwhelming smaller sizes while still reading boldly.
  • Halloween hat and cap decorationThe 1.35-inch width fits inside most hat brim band placements with cutaway stabiliser for stability; I usually run it twice on opposite sides.
  • Trick-or-treat tote bags and pouchesStitch it on a plain canvas tote in orange thread for a quick trick-or-treat bag that looks handmade and doesnt fall apart after one season.
  • Halloween throw pillow coversThe tall format works well centred on a pillow front with room for other design elements around it; pairs well with a ghost or pumpkin at the sides.
  • Seasonal kitchen towels and table runnersUse white thread on a dark linen kitchen towel for a Halloween table setting that stays tasteful; tearaway backing keeps linen lying flat after pressing.
  • Kids Halloween costume accessoriesSew a small felt pocket and stitch a 3.5-inch BOO on it for a Halloween costume belt pouch; felt takes a cutaway cleanly at this size.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
