The book sits open flat, spine down, pages fanned slightly apart. Growing right up out of the page gap are flowers on long arching stems, some petals spilling forward over the bottom cover edge. Its the kind of image that makes you think of pressed flowers in old paperbacks, which is honestly the vibe I was going for when I digitised this one.

10 colours altogether. The book cover is a dusty teal tatami fill with satin-edged spine lines. Pages get stitched in cream with fine directional lines that suggest paper texture. Flower petals are individually satin-stitched in blush pink and soft coral. Leaves in sage green with a darker outline run keeping them separate from the petals. Stems are single satin column. The density sits at about 685, and at the biggest 7.5 size it hits around 38,517 stitches. Not a quick stitch but every section has purpose and the result is worth it.

One customer this past winter stitched the 6-in run on a sage linen tote for a book club christmas gift exchange. She said it got more compliments than anything else on the table. Book lovers are a loyal customer base and this design really connects with em. Text me if the colours look wrong on your first test stitch and Ill walk you through thread substitutions.

Best on neutral linen, cream cotton canvas, or white cotton twill. The teal book cover reads best when theres no competing colour in the background. Avoid busy prints, theyll fight the design. Use cutaway stabiliser on knit librarian cardigans or stretch cotton, and tear-away on stiff canvas tote bags or linen pouches.

Square format at all 9 sizes means it sits perfectly centred on tote bag faces, cushion panels, or the denim jacket back placement. Hoop your stabiliser generously on the larger sizes, the flower stems reach close to the outer edges and you dont want any pull or distortion near the hoop ring.

Behind every stitch

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
