A whole Christmas tree built out of open books, no actual fir tree involved here, just stacks of open hardcovers spread apart so the pages fan out like branches. Top row is one little blue book with a gold star sitting on it. Below that, three rows of books getting wider as you go down: a red and a blue, then orange and red in the middle row, then a big blue and red at the base. Dark green tree triangles peek through behind the stack so you still read it as a tree shape, and theres fine black line detail showing the page edges and the little ribbon bookmarks tucked in.

Comes with 7 colours at 864 stitches per square inch density, which is on the lighter side compared to the cat designs in this collection cos the book covers are big satin blocks of solid colour and dont need the heavy fur coverage. Stitch range covers 19,003 at the 3.42-inch smallest version up to 47,452 at the 7.32-inch largest size. Ive digitised it in the digitising software with the white page fills running perpendicular to the spine, that gives the pages a paper-grain texture instead of one flat satin block.

One customer wrote me last winter saying she stitched the 5.37-inch size on a librarians tote bag as a Christmas gift, and the librarian then turned around and asked her to make 14 more for the whole staff. The black outline thats run last over everything is what seriously makes it pop, dont skip the final colour stop thinking its decorative cos that outline ties the whole composition together.

Best on natural canvas, oatmeal linen, charcoal cotton, or any neutral fabric that lets the bright book covers sing. Hoop with tearaway stabiliser for tote bags and canvas, medium cutaway for any knit. Skip black fabric for the smallest version, the powder blue book will get lost against dark grounds. Pop a layer of water-soluble topping over textured weaves so the white pages dont sink between the threads.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
