This botanical wreath uses outlined leaves in dark forest green, way different from the solid-filled laurels in 4 sizes from 3.24 inches up. The leaves here are outline-only, fine running-stitch shapes letting the fabric show through inside each leaf, so the design reads like a pen-and-ink botanical print instead of a thread block. Small berry dots scatter along the stems too, just lil satin beads punched into the curve. The wreath forms a full closed oval, leaves pointing both inward toward the middle and outward off the central vine, meeting in a crossover knot at the bottom.

Single colour digitising in one shade of emerald green. And because the leaf interiors stay empty, the design lays much lighter on the fabric than it looks. Stitch counts run from ten thousand nine hundred ninety at the 3.24-inch up to 19,190 at the 5.67-inch (7.01 in tall), with 4 sizes total. The density spec sits at 483 which is high, but thats counting all the fine outline work along the leaf edges (not truly packed fill like a solid laurel). I made it in the digitising software with directional satin underlay on the outlines, keeps each outline crisp and stops em from drifting on cotton weave.

One customer ordered the 5-inch in October for kitchen tea towels she was customising for a christmas hostess gift basket. She wrote me saying the open leaf interiors made the wreath look almost screen-printed instead of stitched, which was exactly the vintage cookbook vibe she wanted. The outline style really suits cream linen and unbleached cotton, the negative space within those shapes is half the look.

Best on linen, cotton lawn, twill, canvas, and brushed cotton flannel. Skip stretchy knit fabrics, the outline stitch wont hold its shape on jersey. Use medium tearaway under cotton and linen, cutaway on anything with give. Hoop firm and skip topping unless youre running it on terry. Add an inner monogram or wedding date if the wreath is going on a frame piece. Send me a quick message if your machine software cant read the format and ill convert it for you.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
