Heres the braided woman portrait and shes got real fashion-editorial presence. The face sits centre frame, soft caramel skin tones with directional satin running along the cheekbones and forehead so the face actually has shape, not just a flat fill. Auburn brown box braids pile up into a high crown shape on top and a few longer braids drop down past the shoulders, framing the jaw and chin.

Big silver hoop earrings sit on each side, a slim silver choker wraps the neck, the lashes are long and dark, the lips have a soft rose tint, brows are full and arched with confidence. Its abit of an instagram-portrait, abit fashion magazine cover, the kind of design alot of small fashion brands have been asking me for.

I drew this for the beauty and fashion crowd, salons stitching it on capes, hair extension shops doing tote giveaways, black-owned boutiques who want elegant portrait branding without going full logo. Last month a customer ordered the 7.5-in piece for the back panel of a satin robe gift bundle she sells around valentines, said the auburn braids glowed against blush pink satin.

Best results stitch on cream, blush pink, sand, soft grey, or white because the skin tone needs a calm light background to read warm. Its got 9 colour changes which sounds like alot but the swaps are quick because most are within the brown family for the braids and skin layering. Skip dark fabric because the hair detail vanishes against black.

Density runs 57k stitches on biggest size, 22k on smallest, so back the hoop with soft cutaway and snug it firm before you start. Run polyester so the auburn keeps glowing on the braids, mesh wash-away topping over the face area to stop the satin sinking into knit fabrics. If anything reads weird on your screen tell me before you cut thread, easier to fix the file than the stitchout.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
