This is the most dramatically composed piece in the set. A tall bride figure stands in profile, the upper body and head done in black silhouette with clean lines, hair swept up, veil flowing behind. Then from the waist down the entire gown is constructed out of individual red hearts, packed tightly together and overlapping, getting larger down toward the base and train where they spread out across the floor. The red heart dress cascades down and pools slightly at the floor level with the outermost hearts fringing the edge of the train.

Two colours but the heart gown is where all the work is. Each heart in the dress is individually stitched, the density at 697 reflects how tightly they pack together in the skirt and train areas. The directional fill in the hearts gives the gown a sense of fabric movement despite being flat embroidery. Black handles the upper figure with fine satin columns for the body outlines and delicate work for the veil drape. At the largest 4.95 by 7.51 inch size the stitch count reaches about 25,900, so occured to me to flag that a proper cutaway stabiliser is worth it here even on woven fabrics given the density toward the hem.

The design is taller than wide at all 5 sizes, heights run 3.51 to 7.51 while widths are narrower at 2.31 to 4.95 inches. This portrait orientation suits it for shirt fronts, bag side panels, the back of a jacket, or mounted vertically in a tall narrow hoop. Use on white, ivory, cream, black or charcoal for the two-colour contrast to really show. Avoid red backgrounds where the gown disappears.

People order this for valentines apparel but its just aswell for engagement gifts, bridal shower items, and wedding favour bags. One customer stitched the 4 in piece on a set of white cotton drawstring bags for a bridal party favour project and said they looked genuinely boutique quality. Pick this one when you want the thing to feel like fashion, not just holiday craft. Heres my read, customers reach for it as a bridal piece more than valentines. Im a fan. Thats kinda the angle. Youll see. Dont skip the cutaway.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Valentine's Day shirt fronts for a bold fashion lookCentred on the front of a white or black shirt the tall portrait design has a fashion illustration quality that lifts any simple garment.
  • Bridal shower gift bags and favour pouchesStitched on white drawstring muslin pouches for a bridal shower it turns a basic favour bag into something that looks boutique-made.
  • Wedding anniversary keepsake pillowsOn a white or ivory cushion cover this works as a year-round bridal decor piece for a wedding-themed bedroom or dressing room.
  • framed hoop wall piece for bridal or wedding theme roomMounted in a tall 5x7 inch frame this reads as a couture fashion print and makes a meaningful keepsake for a bride or romantic anniversary gift.
  • Jacket back panels for bridal party wearOn the back panel of a satin or cotton bomber jacket for a bridal party it has the kind of custom-made quality that guests always ask about.
  • Personalised tote bags for bridesmaidsthe small 4-in on a plain canvas tote for a bridesmaid gift is practical, beautiful, and specific enough to feel personal rather than generic.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
