Sky blue hummingbird, 3.5 inches 7.5 wide max across nine sizes, hovering with wings spread wide in mid-beat. Beak extended forward, burnt orange across the wing panels, pale white on the breast. Behind the bird theres a golden sun disc sitting soft and flat. To the left a cluster of big open coral-pink peony heads and spiky teal botanical foliage curls around the whole composition.

Nine colours in the file and the coverage is really solid. I counted the thread changes when I was digitising and its not bad for the complexity. The peony petals use a layered tatami fill that gives depth without going too dense, around 41k stitches on the largest and 16.6k on the smallest. professional embroidery software put proper directional stitching on the wing sections so the feather lines run correctly, not just a flat satin fill. Pair with a cutaway stabiliser and dont rush the flower head sections where the density builds up near the base.

I get messages from garden centre gift shops about this one quite a bit. One customer who runs a small botanical gift shop in the midlands sent me message asking if she could do a run on cream linen aprons for her spring display last april, she said it sold out before the end of the first week. Honestly that didnt surprise me because it photographs so well on warm fabric. Message me if anything looks wrong with the download and Ill resend the file straight away.

Cream linen or white cotton are the natural home for this design. That sky blue bird and coral flower cluster really land on warm neutral bases, oatmeal cotton especially. Skip busy patterned fabric since the botanical detail needs a clean quiet ground to breathe. Pop it on a tote bag front panel or the bib of a gardening apron. Run mid cutaway under on linen since the weave can shift during the denser fill sections around the sun disc and its worth the extra prep time. Message me directly if the download gives you trouble and Ill get a fresh file out to you.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
