Two ladybugs stacked on a diagonal, one slightly behind and above the other. Both have that bold red wing shell with the black center seam and round black dots, and underneath each one is a lavender-purple body that gives the whole thing an unexpected twist. Behind the pair a fan of leaf-like petal shapes spreads outward in green and bright canary yellow, with white outline forms layered between them, like a decorative burst filling the frame. 6 colours total, no filler shapes.

The red and black do the heavy lifting but the purple underneath is what surprises people, you dont notice it at first and then it becomes the detail you remember most. At the small size the wing shell and dot shapes are bold and clean. At the large 7.5 inch size the petal fans in the background have really defined satin fill edges. Stitch count runs from roughly 12,750 to 38,800, so its a substantial piece at the top end. Slip cutaway under it on thinner fabrics and you wont get puckering around the full-fill wing shells.

One customer ordered this last spring to use as quilt squares for a nature-themed project and told me that unexpected lavender was exactly the accent colour tying their whole palette together. Pop it on a toddler tee, stitch it onto the front panel of a fabric lunch bag, hoop it on white linen and frame it for a nursery wall. Works best on light coloured cotton where the red is vivid and the greens dont drop out. Avoid dark fabrics or the background petal shapes disappear completely.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
