Its a sun face but a proper one, not a flat clipart circle. The rays fan out in two tones of orange and gold, dense satin fills all the way round so they catch the light when stitched. Right in the middle theres a big round face with huge blue cartoon eyes, each one has a white highlight dot that makes it look alive. Pink triangle blush patches sit under the eyes and the mouth is wide open in a grin, teeth visible, happy in a way that reads from across the room.

Across the top of the head sits a flower crown. White daisy heads with yellow centres alternate with softer lavender purple blooms and a bunch of dark green leaves packed in between. Not sparse at all, quite a full wreath which is why the colour count hits 20. Each flower uses a separate thread stop so the petals get their own satin direction and dont merge into a muddy blob.

Biggest size stitches out at around 101k so hoop tension matters. Use a medium to heavy cutaway on anything stretchy, and float a topping on velvet or fleece so the fine lash lines dont sink into the pile. Smallest is 4.49 by 4.2 inches, largest is 7.5 by 7, always going to be a feature piece rather than a pocket badge. Not a quick stitch either, the density is real, but the end result looks expensive.

I swapped thread colours at least 3 times before I was happy with how the purple flowers sat against the yellow rays. Had the lavender going too warm and it blended in, cooled it off and suddenly the crown lifted properly. Boho-kawaii has been trending hard in nursery and kids room decor lately, so the timing worked out well. A customer ordered this one last December for a grandkids room and shared the picture of it in a wooden hoop above a little reading nook, its literally perfect for that kind of setup. Pick a pale or mid-toned fabric, avoid dark backgrounds. Use a firm stabiliser, hoop the fabric drum-tight before you start, and slow your machine down to around 600 SPM on the ray fills or theyll pucker at the edges. Holler at the shop if a colour run skips or the cheek fill pulls off-register and Ill tune the density.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Kids bedroom cushion cover centrepieceCentre the large size on a cream pillow and it becomes the whole personality of a kids bedroom without needing anything else on the walls
  • Summer tote bag front panelSew the large 6-in on a fabric tote front and the smiling face turns a plain market bag into something kids will actually want to carry
  • Baby girl nursery wall hoop artMount a finished hoop on the nursery wall above the cot, the warm yellows and soft purples hit the boho palette most baby rooms are going for right now
  • Boho birthday party banner patchesIron-on fleece patches with this design work well as birthday party favours, each kid gets one to stick onto their own bag or jacket
  • Denim jacket back panel statement piecePut the full 7.5-inch on the denim varsity back and you dont need any other embellishment, it fills the space cleanly and the flower crown reads as boho rather than childish
  • Toddler room curtain tie-back accentStitch two mirrored at the small size onto curtain tie-backs in a kids room for a coordinated sun-themed set
  • Festival headband or hair accessory patchA smaller version heat-pressed onto a wide ribbon headband is a popular festival look, the big eyes and flowers translate well at that scale
  • Childrens cotton tee front graphicFront-centre on a soft white or pale yellow kids tee, the rosy cheeks and blue eyes make this one of those prints people stop to comment on

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
