Big chunky letters spelling out Built for Summer with a whole cluster of summer icons packed around them. Theres a sun with radiating rays behind the text, a couple of cartoon waves at the base, a popsicle on a stick off to one side, and a pair of flip flops tucked into a bottom corner. The lettering is thick block style with a dark navy outline that pops against whatever fabric colour ya use. Eight colours total, and they layer up the way a proper retro screen print would.
Built in my main software with underlay mapped for each fill zone separately. Density lands at 480 which keeps the fabric from pulling under all that satin weight. Four sizes: the smallest runs at 4.06 inches and 13,206 stitches, the largest pushes to 7.1 inches and 23,904 stitches. Layer a firm cutaway stabiliser under anything knit-backed and back the bobbin thread with a matching bobbin colour to keep the underside tidy. A customer dropped this one onto the back panel of a kids denim jacket last june and the coral red and aqua really sang against the indigo denim.
Stitch it on a beach bag for a kid, add it to a cooler bag front panel, run it on a camp counsellor tee. The icon cluster means its got alot going on visually, so give it space to breathe, dont crowd it with other patches or design elements nearby. Best on mid-weight woven cotton or canvas rather than stretchy fabrics because of all the directional fill sections.
