Worked on a moon-and-bunny nursery concept last year and this is probably the dreamiest thing in the whole catalogue. A lil baby bunny is sitting on a simple wooden swing, its ropes hanging up to a crescent moon at the top of the design. Shes asleep, head dropped forward, long floppy ear hanging down, a tiny smile on her face. She wears a spotted pink dress with a ruffle hem and a small bow on her head. Around her, scattered in a loose arc, are about eight small five-point stars in the same soft peach tone as the moon. The whole thing floats on the fabric with no background fill, so the cream fabric becomes the night sky.

6 colours keeping the palette gentle. Bunny body in a warm light grey with soft directional fill that rounds out the shape. The bunny outfit is pink with individually placed white dot accents stitched as small satin circles so each spot sits raised and crisp. Ruffle hem uses a tight satin strip. Peach crescent moon is a clean filled shape with a paler interior, and that detail reads as expensive on the finished piece. Rope lines are simple split-stitch runs. Stars are tiny five-point satin fills, each one placed individually rather then cloned, so the scatter looks natural. Density at 573 stitches per square inch keeps this stitching out smooth on most medium-weight fabrics.

5 sizes from 2.87 by 3 inches up to 6.69 by 7.01. Stitch counts run from 10,837 to 26,889 on the biggest. A customer last autumn stitched the 5-inch onto a grey cotton baby sleep sack and sent a photo of her daughter wearing it on her first night home from hospital. Its the kind of design that photographs realy well in soft lighting. Choose mid-weight cutaway, hoop snug, and float a water-soluable topping on any fabric with surface texture so the fine star points stay sharp. Pick a pale cream, soft white or dusty blue background so the peach and grey tones read out cleanly, and dont go below a 4-inch hoop or the star points wont register properly. Dm me if the star placement shifts out of position and Ill resend.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Baby sleep sack or sleeping bagPlace a 5-in on a plain grey cotton sleep sack and the moon-swing scene becomes a proper bedtime ritual piece for the nursery
  • Nursery cushion coverCentre the largest size on a cream linen reading cushion for a glider chair so the floating design looks like it belongs in a storybook
  • Newborn hospital homecoming blanketA customer stitched this on a soft cotton blanket for a homecoming from hospital and said it was the gift that made every mum cry
  • Baby girl crib or cot bumper panelPlace on a crib bumper panel between solid colour sections as a repeating character detail so the design runs along the cot side
  • Toddler bedroom hoop wall artFrame in a painted pale wood hoop and hang above the crib as a bedtime-themed nursery wall piece in soft grey and pink tones
  • Baby shower gift muslin swaddleEmbroider on a plain muslin swaddle square so the light tatami fill breathes through the open weave without puckering
  • Kids cotton pyjama chest panelPlace the 4-inch on the chest panel of kids cotton pyjamas so the sleeping bunny matches the bedtime setting
  • Nursery curtain corner accentTuck the small size into the bottom corner of a nursery curtain as a discreet accent that only shows when the light comes through

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
