So this is a proper detailed butterfly botanical piece. Theres a clean satin ring forming the outer hoop, and along the upper-left two monarch-style butterflies sit on the rim like theyve landed there for a second. The lower-right half of the circle just spills over with hibiscus blooms, layered petals, stamen detail, lil curling leaves running along the bottom. Its all black line work, no fill colour anywhere, so the design reads as ink illustration rather than a heavy satin patch.

I digitised this in my software and the stitch counts climb fast because of how much fine outline work the design packs in. The smallest 4.47-inch hoop runs 19,377 stitches across 48 trims, and the largest 7.44-inch version hits 32,478 stitches with 53 trims. The 5.46-inch and 6.45-inch mids land at 23,622 and 28,027 stitches. Single colour, one black thread cone, zero colour changes. Density runs heavy at 581 thanks to all the layered outline passes, so this floral wreath is gonna want a firm cotton or canvas base, not a stretchy knit.

One customer ordered the 6-inch version last autumn and stitched it on a heavy natural linen tote in matte black 40-weight rayon. She wrote that the butterflies actualy hold their wing detail at that size, which is the part most people find suprised because thin line art on this scale can blur if the underlay drifts. Set the directional satin underlay tight and the ring outline holds shape clean without warping.

Hoop on medium-weight cutaway stabiliser, no shortcuts. Use a 75/11 sharp needle for woven fabric, switch to a 90/14 if youre pushing through denim or canvas. And avoid jersey or anything with stretch unless youre adding a topping film aswell. Pair the design with the largest hoop you have, the 6 and 7-inch sizes really shine because every petal vein gets room to read. Stitch slow. Trims add up fast on this one.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
