Three butterflies drop down the design in a diagonal stack. The top one is the biggest and sits next to a cluster of solid blackwork flowers on the left, the kind where the petals are filled completely dark with no internal detail. The middle butterfly is mid-size and the smallest one at the bottom is barely formed, like its still coming into shape. Around all three, faint handwritten script text weaves through the gaps. I cant make out every word in the preview but it reads something like you grow through what you go through, that kind of thing.
Its all one colour, pure black, no thread changes. On the largest 8.51 x 6.23 inch size you get 10,229 stitches, which is very light for that area. The density is 193, meaning this is outline work not filled satin columns, the butterfly wings are contour lines with internal vein detail rather than solid fills. That low density is actually what makes it look hand-drawn when its stitched out on linen or natural cotton, the fabric texture shows through the wing segments and it looks way more organic than a heavy fill would.
One customer ordered it for a memory quilt last autumn, she was making a panel for a friend who lost someone and wanted something about growth and butterflies. The design fit the brief, it reads emotionally without being heavy-handed. I get messages from people using it on gift items quite a bit, canvas bags, framed hoops, white linen napkins.
Pair it with natural linen, ivory cotton or unbleached muslin for the most organic look. Avoid dark fabrics here, the outline stitching disappears on anything below a mid-tone. Use a light cutaway stabiliser or a medium tearaway on stable woven fabric. Skip topping on smooth linen because the light density doesnt need it. Add a small stabiliser float layer under anything stretchy.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
