Heres the concept: the left side of the design is a butterfly wing, detailed and patterned with circle motifs and vein lines, and the right side is a heart outline that contains the full quote in flowing cursive: make your heart the prettiest thing about you. The butterfly and the heart share the same centre axis, so the body of the butterfly sits right at the midpoint and the 2 halves balance each other out. its a design where the idea does alot of the heavy lifting.

Single black thread, 3 sizes available. The 6 inch version runs 20,043 stitches and the 8 inch top size hits 28,540 stitches. All text inside the heart is digitised as a connected running stitch path so theres no weird gaps between letters. The wing pattern sections use satin fill with topping for the circle details so they read crisply even at the smaller 6 inch size. Im pretty careful about lettering density in cursive designs because if its too light it looks scratchy and the quote loses its meaning.

A customer last spring ordered this on a pale sage linen tote and wrote to say the compliments she got were unreal. Pair with a good tearaway stabiliser on cotton, or cutaway if youre putting it on a stretchy jersey. Pop it on pale pink, light grey, off-white linen, it works on all of them. Use a firm hoop and stitch it slow through the dense wing section, thats where the tatami fill is and you want even tension right through that area. Best suited to lightweight or medium-weight cotton where the satin sections dont sink into the weave.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
