Side-view butterfly facing right, 2 colours, 5 sizes 3.62 inch up. And the trick is the left side, the body and antennae, are actually a ribbon outline curling around into the front wing shapes. The right wings are solid filled petal shapes in soft pink with a darker raspberry outline. A lil dotted ribbon detail sits inside the upper wing as a centre accent. Three petal-shaped wings on the right side, and the swirling ribbon scrollwork on the left does double duty as antenna and front wing structure. Took me a few sketches before I realised the ribbon could carry that whole half without needing a separate body shape. Im glad I held off forcing a divide.

Two colours total: a deep raspberry red R191 G38 B92 and a softer baby pink. One colour change. Stitch count goes from 7,037 on the smallest 3.62 inch wide version up to 20,654 at the largest 7.76 inch. Density is light at 354, on the lower end, because the curving ribbon outline needs room for the satin to lay flat without buckling. Im running it through professional digitising tools, the ribbon swirls get directional satin underlay and a lighter fill on the petal wings so the contrast between filled and outlined shapes reads alot louder.

A customer ordered the 5 inch version last april for a recovery gift, she wanted somethin she could put on a soft cardigan back panel for her sister whod just finished treatment. She did pink on cream and it landed soft and quiet, atleast thats what her sister told her on the call. Its a small thing but its the kind of moment thats worth digitising for.

Best fabrics: soft cotton tee, linen blouse back, cardigan knit, cotton tote canvas, baby quilt cotton. Avoid stretchy lycra or anything with a heavy nap. Skip dark navy unless you swap to a brighter thread, the dark raspberry will disappear on dark blue. Use a no-show mesh on lightweight cotton, a medium cutaway behind any knit, a topping film on textured weaves. Youll thank yourself for the prep. Pop the 4 inch on a cardigan back yoke. Run the 5 inch on a tote front. Stitch the 7 inch on a wall hanging linen panel for full statement. And the smallest 3.62 inch sits well on a chest pocket for subtle awareness wear all year round.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
