A big round bird with feathers going every which way, gripping a candy cane thats almost as tall as it is. The ribbon bow tied around the middle is the most red youll see on the design, sort of where your eye lands first. The birds crosshatched texture runs across all 4 colors, like someone drew it quickly with ink and didnt try to make it too perfect. Thats what makes it work on fabric.

Customers asked me to do more of these little character-plus-prop designs, and honestly I can see why. The fluffy round body combined with the tall curved cane makes a really distinct silhouette, so its readable even at the smaller sizes. Stitch it on a kids stocking cuff and it fills the space without needing anything else around it. Use a cutaway stabiliser under fleece or terrycloth, the dense fill at the 7-in jumbo size doesnt sit right on a flimsy base. I've had it come out beautifully on a white cotton canvas tote this past christmas, the thick outline just pops against the natural weave. this is the type of design theres surprisingly versatile for a holiday character.

Five sizes from 3.5 inches 7.5 top end wide. Four thread colors: white, red, grey, and black. Stitch count goes from around 25,000 at the smallest to close to 60,000 at the largest, so factor that into your thread planning. Pop it on a baby hoodie chest panel at the 3.5 small and its just the right scale. Message me if youve got questions after downloading.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Christmas stockings with a character panel on the cuffStitch it centred on the cuff panel, the tall candy cane silhouette fills the space nicely.
  • Kids holiday sweaters and zip-up hoodiesChest placement works great, the round shape fits the standard chest hoop area without crowding.
  • Tote bags for a December market or cookie swapThe bold outline holds on canvas and cotton duck fabric with no stabiliser drama.
  • hoop-frame display for a kids bedroom at ChristmasMat it in a red or green frame, it looks finished without needing anything extra around it.
  • Winter baby bibs and burp clothsThe smaller 3.5 inch size fits a standard bib hoop with room to spare.
  • Pillow covers for a seasonal sofa refreshCentre it on a 16x16 or 18x18 cover, the design has enough presence to stand alone.
  • Gift bags and drawstring pouchesUse the mid-size on a pre-made blank pouch, quick gift idea for the holiday season.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
