Its the eye that makes this design. That huge round pupil with the navy-to-lilac gradient is digitised as a proper satin-filled circle with colour blending layers, not just a flat disc. The orange blush cheeks sit on top of the yellow body fill using a column run so they dont sink into the base stitching. A customer pinged me last month saying she'd run this on a kids backpack and had three other parents ask where she got it that same day at school pickup.

Hoop a cutaway stabiliser for this one, it earns it with 43,000 stitches at the 6.51 inch size. Use a medium-weight cutaway on canvas or denim, a firm cutaway on knit fabrics. Add a water-soluble topping if youre stitching on a loop-pile fleece or towelling so those satin columns dont sink in. Stitch the 3.51 inch version on onesies and stitching it at 4.51 inches on tote bags, both sizes are popular with the kids-gift market.

9 color stops but theyre well-sequenced so the machine doesnt bounce around the design. The stitch density sits at 1,234 per square inch across the body fill, which is why the yellow doesnt look thin or patchy even on dark base fabrics. I digitised the whole thing in my embroidery software. Run time on a standard home machine is around 9 minutes at the 4.51 inch size. Message me about the file if it gives you any grief and Ill update it for you.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Kids backpack or school bag front panelThe thick black outlines hold up to rough handling on a kids backpack, use the 4.51 inch on a 600D polyester panel
  • Baby onesie chest placementAt 3.51 inches it fits a 0-3 month onesie chest, stabilise with a tear-away on the back of the knit and use a ballpoint needle
  • Throw pillow for a nursery or kids bedroomThe oversized eye gives it real shelf presence on a nursery pillow, customers always comment on it
  • Canvas tote bag for a bee-loving customerBright yellow on a beach tote front is the go-to combo, the bee practically jumps off the fabric
  • Iron-on patch base fabric for resale itemsStitch on iron-on backing felt or twill for patch production, the clean outlines cut well with scissors or die-cutter
  • Beekeeper gift: tea towel or apronThe honey bee theme works great on a kitchen apron gift set, pair with a bee-themed font for a name
  • Sweatshirt chest or sleeve accent for childrenKids love the cartoon face, 4.51 inch on a crewneck sweatshirt left chest is exactly right sized
  • Summer hat brim decorationThe 3.51 inch fits a structured baseball cap brim area, hooping takes some practice but the result is worth it

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
