Two cartoon dinosaurs hanging out together. The one in front is a leafy green raptor or small t rex with a happy open mouth and tiny arms tucked up. Behind him stands a much taller yellow spinosaurus with bold black tiger stripes running down its body and a big sail back fan rising up over the green ones head.
Both faces are smiling, eyes are big black satin dots, mouths show a strip of pink and a row of white teeth. Stitching is hatch fill rather than dense satin which keeps the colours soft and gives a storybook illustration feel. Shadow puddles under each foot add a lil ground anchor so they dont look like theyre floating about.
I get messages every spring from mums planning dinosaur birthday parties, this design has become my second most asked for kid theme right after the unicorn one. One customer texted me last april with a photo of it stitched onto a 5th birthday boy hoodie and his face in the photo was bonkers happy.
9 sizes from 2 by 3.5 inches up to 4.3 by 7.49 inches, with stitch counts running 9,271 to 24,754. 10 colour changes total, density tops out at 769 spi density meaning is mid range so its safe on standard tee weight cotton.
Best on lighter fabric like white, sky blue, oatmeal or pale grey cotton, the green and yellow really sing on those shades. Use a tearaway stabiliser for woven fabric, cutaway for any jersey or fleece. Skip dark navy or black since the design relies on a light backdrop for the smiley faces to read. Text on chat with a photo if your stitchout looks off and ill walk through it.
