So heres the cute cat design, ginger kitten face with a flower crown going on. Shes looking dead ahead with two big teal eyes the colour of her bow tie, a tiny pink heart-shaped nose between full cream cheeks and little whisker dot freckles. A teal silk bow sits under the chin and a small pink butterfly has landed right on the bows knot.
Up between her ears sits a deep burgundy rose with a paler pink rosebud tucked alongside and a couple of dark green leaves filling the gap. Fur uses directional stitching across the face so youre seeing that proper kitten texture, the rose petals carry a softer satin sheen for contrast.
I drew this one for my friends pet shop last spring, she wanted somthing girlier than a plain cat face for her shop totes. Cat groomer aprons keep ordering it, kids pyjama tops too, and a recent customer used it on a pet-loss memory pillow for her late ginger Penny which absolutely got me.
Stitches run dense at 1173 per square inch, total stitch count climbs to 63,614 at the biggest 7.51 inch hoop, smallest is 3.51 inches wide at 25,158 stitches. Nine sizes total and tall format, the design is taller than wide because the rose adds height up top.
Stitch onto cotton, linen, twill, or denim, the fur fill needs a firm base. Run a cutaway underneath, polyester topping helps once your fabric carries even a touch of texture. Skip very dark fabrics, the ginger fur wont keep its glow against dark backgrounds.
