This kitten with butterflies design came out a lil before easter when I was building a spring collection for the shop. I wanted something soft, sweet, ya know, the kind of thing that lands on a baby onesie or a toddler tee. The tabby kitten with three pastel butterflies fluttering around hits that bunch of soft spring vibes really well.

The design uses 10 colour stops, mostly broken across the kitten fur shading, the three butterfly wings, the daisy centres, and the lil grass patch. Density runs 978 which is medium, holds clean on cotton tees, onesies, and lightweight bag fabric. Cutaway behind any knit obviously, and a medium tearaway works fine on wovens. Heres my honest take: dont overthink placement. This ones a quiet favourite of mine. Quick tip: dont over-think placement.

Stitch counts run from 15402 on the smallest 2.19 inch wide size up to 34299 on the 4.67 wide. 9 sizes in the file. The smallest fits on a left chest tee or a baby bib, the largest sits great on the centre front of a toddler dress or a small tote. The vertical composition means the height pushes a bit, up to 7.51 inches on the biggest version. Drop a pin at centre to find true. Pick poly thread for the colour pop. thread poly pick colour the for pop.

I sent a colour list to a customer last march, she was customising the butterfly tones to mint, peach, and cream to match her daughters nursery palette. The fur direction on the kitten is what really sells it, dont skip the directional satin on the body fur or it reads flat.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
