Ive been making cat designs for years and this one gets ordered more than almost any of them. Its a heart shape built entirely out of little cat silhouettes, some sitting, some stretching, some mid-leap, all packed together tightly so the heart reads as a solid filled shape from a distance. Half the cats are black, half are orange tabby, and scattered between them are brown paw prints. No fancy detail, its pure flat graphic silhouette work and thats exactly why it works so well.
4 colours total, 3 color changes. Simple to run. The stitch count sits at 10,893 on the 3.5-inch smallest size which is light and clean, and scales up to 28,039 on the 7.5-inch largest. Even at max size the density is friendly at 515 average which means the design runs fast and you wont be fighting thread breaks mid-hoop. Those little paw marks are small satin fill sections so they need a firm hoop setup but theres nothing here that will stress a domestic machine.
This design works on both white and black fabric, which is unusual. On white the tabby cats pop against the black ones and the whole heart composition is obvious. On black fabric those ginger cats carry the read and the darker silhouettes become subtle shadows inside the shape, a different look but also really nice. I get messages from valentines day sellers every january, they buy it for cat-themed hearts on cream tote bags and mugs, but honestly it sells year-round to cat lovers for tees, cushions, hoops.
Use a light tear-away stabiliser on cotton twill or woven fabric. Avoid stretchy jersey for the larger sizes because the flat satin fills on the paw prints can pucker on stretch. Pop the 7.5-inch on a canvas tote or cushion cover front, the smaller 3 in chest size on coin purse or card wallet fabric panel.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
