And here's a clean little cat profile that doesnt need to do alot. Its a side view sketch of a tabby kitten facing left, one ear pricked, the other tipped slightly forward, with fine whiskers fanning out from the cheek and short tabby stripes hinted across the head and shoulder. All done in single black thread, no fills.
So the whole design is really just line work. Quick gestural strokes that suggest fur direction rather than spelling it out, hatched shading on the ear and neck for depth. The widest part of the line uses a thin satin column, finer details run in a triple stitch outline. Stitches out fast since theres only 1 colour and around 5k to 9k stitches across the size range, no thread changes.
But the simplicity is what it sells on. Customers have been buying this for cat lover gifts, minimalist tee designs, linen kitchen towels and book lover tote bags. My niece picked this exact design for her librarian aunts birthday last year, stitched it on a natural canvas tote, said her aunt nearly cried.
So stitch on cream cotton, oatmeal linen, raw canvas or a heavyweight muslin for that printmakers feel. Skip dark fabric since the line work needs the white space behind it to read, this cat is all about contrast. Use a tearaway stabiliser for woven fabric, light weight cutaway if you want to put it on a sweatshirt. Hoop tight, the fine line work doesnt forgive a loose hoop at all.
9 sizes from 2.43 inches up to 5.2 inches wide. All 8 formats included. Wear it on a tote, a linen napkin, or a quiet corner of a quilt panel.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
