This cheerful elephant started as a commission request from a customer who runs a small babywear business last november, she needed something with a happy expression rather than the neutral face most elephant designs have. Ten colours, the warm grey body is the main sequence and then pink ears, white eye highlights and a lil blush come in as short accent stops. Five sizes from 3.51 up to 7.51 inches wide, stitch count 19,673 to 45,269.

Density sits at 1,078 per square inch which works well on baby fabric weights. Pop a tearaway behind cotton knit onesies and a cutaway on anything with stretch or pile. The ears use satin stitch with a simple underlay so hooping needs to be flat, any looseness and the pink satin shows registration gaps, thats the most common issue people hit on stretch fabric. Add topping over terry or waffle-weave fabrics to stop the pile loops catching the pink accent stitching.

Happy expression means its great on celebrations aswell as everyday nursery items, a baby turns one or two and this design stays age-appropriate, unlike some nursery designs that look too baby-ish past six months. Stitch the 3.51 inch chest-centred on a newborn onesie, or run the 5 inch on a birthday cushion for a toddler. Grey base fabric with the ten-colour palette on top looks really clean, or pale lavender cotton if youre after a softer background tone. Avoid very tight stretch fabric under 3.51 inches, the satin detail in the pink sections compresses and loses shape on high-stretch knit.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
