This cheerful christmas lights wreath has holly leaves packed all the way around, no gaps, just a full lush ring of deep green. Teardrop-shaped bulbs tuck between the leaves, long pointed end hanging down, wire cap at the top. Seven colours working together. Deep holly green for the leaves, bright red berries in clusters, and the bulbs rotating through warm amber, red, light green, teal and gold. Its a lot going on and it works because the composition is tight.
Stitch count tells the story on this one. At 7.5 inches youre looking at 28,792 stitches. Even the petite 3-in version clocks in at 13,633. Density sits at around 513 stitches per square centimetre, the kind of number that means the holly leaves have real directional fill and those teardrop bulbs arent just thin satin columns but proper rounded shapes with good volume. embroidery software handled the digitising and the layering shows.
Youre going to want a cutaway stabiliser on this one, no question. Medium-weight cutaway on fleece, denim or canvas twill. The dense fill means lighter tear-away will distort the ring shape as you remove the backing. Hoop firm and use topping on fleece or terry so those holly leaf fills dont sink into the pile. I get messages from people every christmas asking whether this works on dark fleece throws and honestly yes, Weve seen it on black fleece and it looks like proper festive luxury.
Pair with dark navy, forest green, cranberry or charcoal fabric. This one isnt a quick stitch, theyll be seven thread loads and a bit of trimming between colours, but the payoff is real. Drop me a line if anything stitches funny and ill check the file right away.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
