My kids spotted this one immediately and demanded I stitch it onto everything in the house. Honestly fair enough. It's a lil green alien sitting snug in a red christmas stocking, big glossy eyes staring up at you, teeny Santa hat tilted on its head and a sprig of holly poking out the side. One stubby arm rests on the stocking edge like its just settling in for the holidays.
The stitching on this is alot more involved than it looks. The knit texture of the red stocking body is rendered row by row, the white fluffy cuff uses dense satin fill, and the alien itself has 8 separate colour stops across green skin, black eyes, the hat, the holly and that tiny round nose. Stitch count goes from 11,515 on the small size up to 30,669 at the 7.5-in jumbo version. Use a poly cutaway stabiliser on the large size, the density is high enough that tear-away tends to shift mid-hoop. So yeah, budget some extra time.
Runs from 3.5 inches wide all the way 7.5 ceiling. I usually go with the 5 inch for sweatshirts and the big size for tote bags. Stitch it on a fleece pullover and every customer at the market'll ask where you got it. And if someone gets the sizing wrong just holler at me and I'll sort it out. Dont let the stitch count scare you, it's worth every minute.

- Iron-on backing and attach to a holiday gift tag or ornament felt pieceStitch on felt, cut out and add a loop for a one-of-a-kind tree ornament
- Put on a teacher's christmas mug wrap or apron for a funny giftThe 4-5 inch range works well on an apron bib or mug wrap insert

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
