Round little bird with a santa hat sitting on a snowy branch. Its got that kawaii cartoon thing going on, big round eyes, a tiny orange beak, and this oversized red hat with white fluffy trim that makes it look kinda top heavy in the best way. The digitising puts directional stitching through the body feathers so you actually see the layering instead of just a flat grey blob.
16 colours total which sounds like alot but they build up nicely. The hat goes down first, then the white trim ring, then the breast feathers, the wing detail, and finally those tiny black pupils on top of the eye whites. Takes a few thread swaps but the colour changes hit at natural stopping points so nothing feels rushed between sections.
Comes in 4 sizes, smallest is 3.5 inches wide, largest stretches to 6.5 inches. Stitch counts run from around 25k up to just over 52k on the biggest size. Best on fleece, sweatshirt jersey, or soft cotton where the satin fills sit smooth without drag. Use a cutaway stabiliser for stretch fabrics.
Last christmas I got a bunch of orders for this one from people doing kids pyjama sets and holiday sweaters for gifts. One customer stitched all 3 of her daughters matching flannel pillowcases with it and texted the photo. Thats exactly what I had in mind when I drew it.
And honestly its one of those holiday pieces that doesnt feel overdone. Holler at me if any size gives you trouble and ill get it sorted.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Kids christmas pyjama setsa 3.5 in build centred on kids pyjama top makes a sweet matching set without being too bold for a young kid.
- Holiday sweatshirts and hoodiesOn a plain navy or burgundy sweatshirt the chubby bird reads well from across a room at a holiday gathering.
- Flannel pillowcases for giftingStitch three across a flannel pillowcase in a row for a cosy christmas gift that people actually use.
- Childrens tote bagsA small size on a cotton canvas tote bag is quick to stitch and makes a solid christmas gift for school kids.
- Christmas stockingsOn a velvet or felt stocking panel the thick outlines hold up and the santa hat detail stands out clearly.
- Pet bandanas for holiday photosA 3.5-inch run across soft jersey bandana is quick to hoop and makes the best holiday pet photo prop.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
