Facing left in a clean side-profile on black felt or dark wool, its got that silhouette energy you see on Scandi-style Christmas cards. The deer head is all solid flat fill, no interior detailing on the face, just a sharp clean outline. The antler rack rises up and back, more compact than a full frontal spread, and seven round globe lights sit threaded along the branches at different heights.

The globes are proper circles, not oval bullet shapes, so they stitch out like little satin dots with a shiny finish. Seven colours: red, orange, yellow, lime green, teal, magenta, and purple. They sit tight to the branches rather than drooping outward, which gives it a tighter graphic composition. Biggest size is 6.49 by 4.3 inches with 9,763 stitches, smallest is 2.5 by 1.66 with 3,492.

I sold about twenty six of em through a customer who runs a craft fair stall, she put it on dark wool felt pouches before the holiday markets last November and said they'd all gone by the second weekend. The profile angle photographs really well from the side, which matters when youre displaying on a table rack. Its a different look from a front-facing deer and thats the angle that makes people stop and pick it up.

Works brilliantly on dark felt, wool, or stiff cotton canvas where the silhouette is crisp and the globe colours punch out. Back your felt with a firm stabiliser so it doesnt shift. Use a piece of tearaway under canvas zip pouches and iron it off after. Avoid anything lighter than mid-grey as a base, the side-profile silhouette needs contrast to read clearly. Seven colour changes so lay out your thread spools first and youll breeze through it.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
