One customer ordered this specifically to stitch on a set of cream linen napkins for her Christmas table, she told me later they were the talking point at dinner. Its a flat cut-paper style silhouette, a full-racked stag standing beside a dense layered pine tree, both sitting on a grassy mound, with six-pointed snowflakes dotted around. Single thread, no color stops mid-run.

Pop a medium-weight cutaway stabiliser under the fabric before hooping and it runs cleanly on linen, canvas, or heavy cotton twill. Use a tear-away on thicker fleece if you want a softer hand on the finished piece. Stitch at a moderate speed through the antler sections, the branching points are fairly fine at the smaller sizes. The density overall is on the lower end for a filled silhouette, so it stays pliable rather than going stiff once the hoop comes off.

Five sizes, smallest at just over 3 inches tall and widest version reaching 7.5 inches across. Skip dark navy if youre going with dark green thread, the contrast isnt worth it. Stick to cream, natural linen, off-white canvas, or a mid-tone tan and the detail reads well. The antler detail stitches cleaner than youd expect for a 13,000-stitch design.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Christmas table napkins and placematsStitch centered on a folded linen napkin for a simple handmade table setting that looks expensive.
  • Winter throw pillow covers in linen or canvasThe wide composition fits nicely on a 20-inch pillow in landscape orientation on heavy cream canvas.
  • Holiday tote bags and market shoppersCentered on the front panel of a natural canvas tote, reads clearly from a distance.
  • Framed hoop art for winter mantle displaysStretched over a 10-inch wooden hoop it makes a minimal holiday wall piece that works year to year.
  • Tree skirt fabric panelsRepeat at even spacing along the hem edge of a tree skirt for a coordinated nature-themed set.
  • Christmas stockings and stocking cuffsMedium 5-inch size fits well centered on a stocking body rather than just the cuff.
  • Seasonal wall hangings on natural cotton or juteStitched on loosely woven natural cotton or a jute-blend it has a slightly rustic, handmade quality.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
