Mocked up this one for the fantasy and dragon crowd who still want something festive. Theres a real gap in the market for christmas designs that arent just the same snowflakes and reindeer, and this one fills it. The dragon is chibi proportions, kinda lil and round, wings spread open behind it, sitting right in the centre of a bunch of colourful wrapped presents. Two Christmas trees stand either side, and ya get these little red star ornaments dotted around the scene. The colour palette is intense: 28 colours total running from teal and periwinkle blues through crimson and gold on the gift wrapping, dark forest greens on the trees, and black outlining pulling everything together.
my main software took the colour sequencing across all 28 stops, which is what keeps the gift box panels from bleeding into each other at the compact hoop size. Five sizes from 2.42 x 3.50 inches up to 5.21 x 7.50 inches. The compact file runs 27,102 stitches and the largest bumps up to 58,117, thats a lotta colour changes for a design this size. Use a firm medium-weight cutaway stabiliser and hoop with proper tension. The wing underlay is directional to stop the satin from lying flat once its off the machine. Skip tearaway on any of the larger sizes.
Customers who do custom christmas stockings for kids keep coming back to this file. A customer asked me about the 4-inch hoop run on a navy fleece stocking and it registered beautifully, the dragon body really pops against dark fabric. Stitch density at 1,487 means its not overloading a woven base either. Add a light topping on any textured fleece so the outline stitches dont sink. Pair the periwinkle body thread with a deep navy or charcoal bobbin and the back stays tidy. Ping me if anything needs adjusting for your machine format.
People making personalised items for dragon-obsessed kids, fantasy fans, or craft sellers looking for something different in their seasonal stock are the main buyers for this design.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
