Worked up this christmas teacup design and its kinda the ultimate festive bundle in one motif. The cup itself sits in red and cream, like an old fashioned chinaware shape, and its overflowing with christmas goodies. A green elf hat with red trim and yellow buckle sits centre, two striped candy canes cross either side, and holly leaves with red berries fill the bottom rim. Realy busy in the best way.
Stitch work uses bold black outlining on every shape which keeps the cartoon look tight. The cup uses a smooth satin column for that glossy ceramic feel and theres a darker shadow tone layered into the elf hat green so it has depth instead of going flat. Candy cane stripes run angled diagonal satin, dense and crisp.
I been getting alot of orders for kitchen christmas merch lately and this design has been my best seller for tea towels and aprons. One customer told me last november she stitched the medium size onto a dozen flour sack towels for her christmas market booth and sold out the first weekend.
5 sizes available, smallest at 3.14 inches wide and largest at 6.73 inches. Stitch counts run 23k to 69k. 15 colours total but you can group the holly greens and reds together if your machine has limited spools, thats fine.
Stitches cleanly on cotton sack kitchen linen, cotton sweatshirt fleece, canvas aprons and quilt cotton. Use a tearaway behind any woven cotton kitchen piece and switch to medium cutaway for stretchy apparel. Skip thin silky fabrics, the dense cane fills will pull.
