My sister stitched this on a pool towel she uses at the gym and half the people in the locker room stopped to ask about it. Thats the thing with flamingo christmas designs, nobody expects it and it always gets a reaction. The santa hat is the detail that makes it, tilted just right on the flamingos head. Its honestly one of my favourite holiday designs in the whole collection.

Run a layer of cutaway stabiliser under the fabric before hooping this one. At 587 density the fills sit dense enough that you need something solid underneath, specially on any stretch fabric or knit. Six colour design with orange, green and red bulbs on the light string, a red and white santa hat, pink for the flamingo body, and black linework for the glass. Four sizes from 4.5 inches wide spanning to 7.5.

Vertical design, tall and narrow, so it fits well on the chest of a shirt or the front of a tote. Stitch it on white or light cream fabric so the flamingo pink really shows up. Skip dark backgrounds unless youre okay with the pink reading a bit muted. Use a wash-away topping if your fabric has any texture to it, specially on toweling or fleece. The lights are the tricky section so take your time on thread changes. Message me if anythings not right and Ill fix it for you.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Tropical christmas shirts and holiday beach teesStitch on a white linen shirt for a relaxed tropical christmas party look.
  • Pool towels and beach bags for warm-weather christmas marketsThe top 7-in size fills the center of a pool towel nicely without being too large.
  • Quirky holiday gifts for flamingo lovers and tropical decor fansMakes a funny personalised gift for anyone obsessed with flamingos or tropical style.
  • Christmas tote bags and reusable shopping bagsWorks on a canvas tote as a holiday shopping bag that stands out from the usual red and green.
  • Holiday party tops and fun christmas jumpersOn a plain white long-sleeve top it looks intentionally kitsch and gets compliments.
  • Throw pillows for a tropical or coastal holiday living roomCentered on a cream cushion cover it adds a lighthearted holiday note to coastal decor.
  • Christmas stockings with a non-traditional festive twistThe vertical shape works perfectly down the front of a christmas stocking in pink fabric.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
