So the ghost has fully committed to christmas. Red santa hat with a white fluffy trim band, arms raised wide holding a red-and-green ornament in each hand. Round the neck is a fat rope of beaded chain, satin columns in warm ochre gold that come out looking like actual beads when hooped up on cotton. Body is that smooth flowing white with soft grey shadow stitching on the lower half and the wispy tail curling off to the left. Two little christmas trees stand at the base, and snow dots scatter around the whole scene.

White ghost fill is done in tatami with a directional bias that keeps it from looking flat. 9 colours, 68,083 stitches at the largest 7.51-inch size, density at 1,277. Its high, so this one really rewards a firm cutaway stabiliser and a slower needle speed through the ornament and bead collar sections. Hoop taut and dont rush the satin on the santa hat itself, thats where the polish lives. Slow to about 600 SPM through the cap brim and youll get clean edges.

I sell alot of this to people who do halloween all year but want one christmas piece that fits their aesthetic. The ghost is so purely jolly though that regular christmas buyers grab it too. Stitch it on a black sweatshirt, put that next to a wreath display in a boutique and it practically sells itself. And the smallest 4.51-inch works on a zip pouch or a wine bag without losing any of the face expression. Stick it on a charcoal grey hoodie and you get a piece thats genuinely hard to categorise, which is exactly why people want it.

Black and navy are the colours to go for here. White ghost on a dark ground is where this design earns its keep. Charcoal grey fleece also works really well, the grey shadow areas in the body blend nicely at the fabric edge. Avoid cream or beige grounds, the white form disappears. Back with a topping on fleece to keep those satin stitches on the hat brim from sinking into the nap. Dont skip this step or the brim detail goes flat.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
