A Halloween ghost who got really into Christmas and nobody told him thats not how it works. The Santa hat sits slightly crooked on the top of the head which gives it a lil bit of personality, and the bat friend clinging to the side is holding what looks like a tiny cookie. The cocoa mug with the candy cane is the detail that makes customers stop scrolling.
Use a heavy cutaway stabiliser, dont try running on tearaway or a light sew-in. Seven stops across 7 colour changes at a density of 1057 stitches per square inch makes the ghost one of the denser designs in the range. The grey body fill is a cross-hatch directional which means the thread changes direction twice across the body and the underlay needs to be solid to hold registration. Add topping over the white highlight area on the eyes if youre on a knit or fleece, otherwise the white satin can lose crispness. At 48,171 stitches on the 7.5 wide max version expect a decent runtime on most home machines, drop your speed to about 650 spm on the body fill sections. The sequencing is smooth and doesnt have unnecessary jumps so it runs fine if you just let it go.
A customer who does Halloween-Christmas crossover events told me the design sold out on sweatshirts faster than any other in their range last season. Makes sense, theres not alot of designs that work for people who want to carry spooky energy into December. Run the smaller 3.5-in chest size on a tote or bag pocket and the little wing satin detail holds even at that size because the widths are generous enough. Pair it with a dark navy or black fabric for maximum contrast on the white ghost body and grey cross-hatch.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Halloween-Christmas crossover sweatshirts and teesAdult sweatshirt chest at the 5.5-inch, the bat wing detail is still visible at normal wearing distance.
- Spooky holiday tote bags and project bagsBlack canvas tote at the 7-inch, the ghost reads against the dark ground because the white body satin pops strongly.
- Kids Christmas pyjamas with a gothic twistPyjama chest pocket at the 3.5 run, the candy cane detail holds at that scale because the widths are generous in the digitising.
- Festive ghost-themed throw pillow coversGrey throw cushion on a sofa, the black outline does the work against a mid-tone base without needing a pale backing.
- Christmas stocking fronts for horror fansDark felt stocking front at the 5-inch, the ghost colour palette was designed for darker grounds so it suits felt well.
- Holiday hoop art in black linen framesBlack linen square hoop display, 7-inch hoop, no mat needed, the gothic-Christmas combination works as wall art.
- Embroidered patches for jackets and bagsIron-on jacket patch at the 4-inch, the full black outline gives the ghost a natural edge for clean patch application.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
