Its the classic christmas gnome and its exactly what ya think. Tall pointy red Santa hat with a little white pompom flopping over at the tip. Tiny wispy beard poking out below the round peach nose, just enough to read as gnome without covering everything. Small red mittened hands tucked in at the sides. Grey oval feet planted flat. Simple as that.

The drawing style is clean and unfussy. Bold black outlines hold the whole thing together and the colour fills are flat so it stitches fast and reads sharp from across a room. Six colours total: red for the hat and mittens, white for the pompom and beard wisps, sand for the nose, grey for the feet, a touch of orange in the nose gradation, and black outline. No busy patterns on this one, its the stripped-back gnome that works on anything.

I had a customer last christmas who runs a small market stall selling personalised tote bags and mugs. She needed a gnome that was quick to stitch in bulk across tea towels and aprons, nothing over-detailed. This one was her pick and she came back in january saying shed done over sixty pieces with it. And thats exactly the kind of simple reliable design I like building.

Pocket-size 3.51 lands on hat panel front nicely. Use the 7.51-inch across the chest of a cream fleece or a natural linen tote. Stitch it on red or green fabric if you want to lean into christmas colours, or go white and cream for a cleaner Scandinavian look. Pair with a simple name block underneath on personalised gifts.

Density tops out at 48k stitches on the biggest size, under 15k on the smallest, so its managable across the whole size range. Slide tearaway behind firm cotton wovens and linen. Switch to cutaway if youre hooping fleece or sweatshirt fabric. But if the file trips your machine on any size just hit me and Ill rework that same day.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
