Lil round gnome holding a string of christmas lights and honestly he looks like hes got no idea what hes doing with them. Big pointy red hat flopping to one side. Massive grey beard taking up half his face. Two stubby arms stretched out, little bulbs dangling off the cord in yellow, orange, green and red. Theres no visible eyes which is very classic gnome energy and I love it.

Seven colours in this one: the red hat, grey beard, cream tunic body, dark cord, and then three or four bulb colours layered in. Stitch range is 10k at the smallest 2-inch wide size up to about 24k stitches on the 4.3-inch tall version. Density is moderate and the rounded satin fills on the hat and beard are the workhorses here, theyll need a stable base to sit without puckering.

Drop a cutaway stabiliser under this one regardless of fabric type. The gnome body is a bunch of curved satin columns right next to each other and any movement during stitching will gap em. Ive been making gnome designs for years and the beard section is always where puckering starts if youre skimping on the stabiliser. Use medium weight cutaway on denim, canvas, twill or fleece. Add water-soluble topping on terry cloth so the beard fills dont sink into the pile.

Works great on a bunch of different christmas gift items. The compact 2-inch size sits well on wine bags, mug cosies and small gift pouches. The bigger 4-inch version goes on tee shirts, sweatshirts or fleece blankets. Pair it with a name or year beneath it for personalised gifts and youve got something people will actually keep.

5 sizes from 2.02 to 4.32 inches wide. Text me a chat note if anything looks odd when you stitch it out and Ill sort you out quick.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
