Fat cartoon LOVE letters with a Christmas gnome tucked into the right side. The L is candy red dotted with white polka spots, the V runs sky blue with vertical white stripes, the dark green O works as the gnomes belly area, and the E reads red with white diagonal candy-cane bands. Bulb-light strands drape across the top of every letter, dangling little colour lights at random intervals. The gnome himself has a tall pink striped pointy hat with a tiny bulb hanging off the tip, a fluffy grey-white beard taking up most of his face, and a single yellow round nose poking out the middle.

This ones genuinely complex, nine colours, density at 1,117, stitch counts running from 22,499 on the small 3.51 inch size all the way up to 54,000 on the 7.51 inch. Plan an hour-plus run on the big size. The black outline alone is around 9,400 stitches on the small and over 11,800 on the big one, with candy red, pink, white, grey, dark green, sky blue, yellow and dark blue rounding out the palette. I digitised it in my professional tool and the candy-cane stripes use angled satin columns at a tight density to keep the diagonals crisp. Hoop with heavy cutaway stabiliser on anything stretchy and add water-soluble topping if the fabric has any nap.

I get messages from quilters about this design every November, they buy it for festive throw pillow covers and tea towel sets they sell at craft fairs. One mum told me she ran a 5-in chest run on kitchen towel set in 8 different colorways, sold the whole batch by mid-December. The 5-7 inch range is honestly the sweet spot for home decor projects.

Stitch on white or cream cotton, natural linen, ivory canvas. Skip dark fabric, the dotted L and striped E go muddy without a light ground. Avoid stretchy knits for the bigger sizes, the dense fill needs stable backing or youll get puckering around the letter forms. Pair with red or sage pillow piping for a polished pillow finish. The largest 7.51 inch size needs a 6x10 hoop minimum and runs nearly 16 inches square area.

Reach out before checkout if youd rather swap the polka dots for stars or hearts and ill sort that on the file. Im happy to remap em.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
