This highland cow gets the full christmas treatment. Shaggy amber fur layered in directional stitching, those big curved horns wrapped in a strand of multicolour fairy lights , green, yellow, orange, purple bulbs all lit up. Red santa hat crammed on sideways between the horns. Scattered green, orange and red snowflakes float at different sizes in the space around it. Its busy, it knows it, and it doesnt apologise for that.
The fur stitching on highland cow designs takes real planning because the hair goes in so many directions at once. I built it with longer satin runs on the forehead fringe, shorter fills on the muzzle and near the eyes, cross-hatched density on the ear fur. Eight colours across 65k stitches on the 8.5-inch. Machine runs those colour changes steadily , 8 swaps is totally manageable on any mid-range embroidery machine. The underlay is doing alot of work keeping the fur anchored on woven and stretchy fabric types alike.
Country lifestyle shops and western-themed boutiques have been ordering it pretty consistently since I listed it. One shopkeeper in texas told me she puts it on cream denim jackets and calls em her 'cowmas jackets' which is kinda genius. I get messages from ski lodge gift shops aswell , apparently highland cows are big in alpine tourism merch, which honestly surprised me. Thats not a market I expected but Ive had steady orders from that direction since last winter.
Stitch on natural cotton, cream denim, oatmeal twill or canvas. The 8.5-inch is a large design so you want a 9x9 or bigger hoop minimum. Use cutaway stabiliser on denim and structured outer fabric , 65k stitches needs a firm base and you dont want registration shift. Tearaway works on lighter cotton. Keep the machine speed medium on the fairy light string section, those small bulb shapes need clean stops.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
