Candy-cane striped crown sitting tall on his head, royal purple coat with gold epaulettes on the shoulders, that wide painted wooden grin nutcrackers are known for. Hes short and wide compared to a standard nutcracker figure, only 2.5 inches tall at the biggest size, so hes built for placement on pockets and cuffs rather than center-chest statements.
Ten colours go into this lil guy. Red and white alternate on those candy-striped bands. The coat is a deep royal purple with gold trim along the edges. Pale skin tone on the face, black painted boots, white gloves. A bunch of colour changes happen in a small footprint which is why the density sits at 1,041 and the digitising has to be tight. professional digitising tools handled the colour separations cleanly so the satin columns on the crown stripes dont bleed into each other.
I get alot of requests from people doing ballet nutcracker themed holiday parties, and that crowd specifically loves this candy king variant. Drop me a note if you want the 3 colour and 9 sizes version, but honestly this 10-colour at 5 sizes is the one that photographs best on fabric. One customer ordered it for personalised stockings last gift-exchange season and she sent photos of 12 stockings lined up on a mantle, looked seriously good.
Use a firm cutaway stabiliser on velvet stocking fabric or felt. Hoop tight because the satin column work on the crown needs zero movement during stitchout. Try a medium-weight twill or linen if youre putting it on a holiday throw pillow, the colour fills sit flatter on woven fabrics than on jersey. Bobbin tension matters here, check it before you start on the good fabric.
