A bunch of people in Florida and coastal Australia have been ordering this one, and I get why. Its a palm tree done up like a proper christmas tree, star on top and alot of round ornaments hanging off the fronds. The fronds themselves are done in directional satin stitches that fan outward so they read like actual leaves rather than flat green blobs. Twenty-one colour stops sounds like a headache but most of them are the repeating red and gold bauble sequence, so once youre three stops in you know the rhythm.
Stitch count runs 9,828 at the smallest 3.51 by 2.65 inch size up to 25,355 at the top 7.51 by 5.68 inch version. At that larger size the density sits around 594 which is pretty light and open, so you dont need heavy cutaway behind it. A standard tearaway stabiliser works fine on most woven fabrics. Pair it with a topping on towelling or any textured surface to keep the frond tips from sinking into the pile.
Drop the large version onto a linen apron for a quirky kitchen gift. Use the 3.5-in chest on a cocktail napkin, place mat, or the pocket of a linen shirt. One customer last christmas put the mid-size on a set of white pillowcases and said it was the most commented gift in her family. Hooped on a 4 by 4 hoop the smaller sizes stitch fast too, well under 30 minutes. Drop me a quick chat if anything in the files doesnt open correctly and Ill get it sorted.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Tropical-themed Christmas stockingsLinen apron front at 7 inches as a kitchen gift for someone in Florida, coastal Australia or anywhere christmas involves heat rather than snow
- Linen kitchen apronsCocktail napkin set for a tropical holiday table at 3.5 inches: the 21-colour ornament sequence looks properly festive at that scale without overwhelming a napkin
- Cocktail napkins and place matsCanvas beach tote for year-round use: the tropical context removes it from specifically Christmas and the design holds its appeal through summer
- Beach tote bagsLinen shirt breast pocket at the smallest size for a subtle design that gets questions from people who look twice
- Holiday pillowcasesFelt or cotton holiday stocking at a mid-size for a coastal Christmas look that makes traditional red-and-green stockings look overdressed by comparison
- Linen shirt pocketsMatched pillowcase pair for a seasonal bedroom update in a beachside home where the tropical Christmas aesthetic is genuinely part of the local culture

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
